“The new FedEx Ground distribution center is a tremendous development for Pittsburg, the region and our state,” Governor Laura Kelly said. The City of Pittsburg and Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce worked with the developer, Kansas Crossing Casino, the Kansas Governor’s office, and the Kansas Department of Transportation for nine months to bring this project to fruition. The distribution center is the latest example of the significant growth in Pittsburg, and is expected to employ a mix of full and part-time team members.
